(С. Сергеев-Ценский, Севастопольская страда) — 'We've got only foreign mechanics here since we can't do a thing by ourselves. These foreigners make heaps of money while we remain idle and keep mum.'
(М. Салтыков-Щедрин, Орёл-меценат) — 'I'll bet you don't even know that Bonaparte is dead,' the falcon ventured. 'Bonaparte, who is he?' 'I told you so. Wouldn't be bad if you knew, though. Imagine that you're giving a ball and that someone says this or that happened during Bonaparte's time, and you just blink your eyes! Why, it wouldn't do at all'.
(В. Распутин, Василий и Василиса) — The medical attendant was here yesterday and a fat lot of good she was! I tell her the small of my back is hurting and she looks blank. She didn't even know until then that there is such a thing as the small of one's back.

Переход - changeover, crossover, change, transition, transformation, switch, switching, conversionThis causes the crossover in the comparison between the P values for the array and the duct. Conversion to single-foil bearings is accomplished simply by removing the inboard foils.Since going to direct coloring we have found absolutely no deterioration in quality. кSince the selection of fuel burning equipment determines the type of air pollution control required, the change from stoker to pulverized coal may indeed be considered. The gradual transition from case to core makes the boundary difficult to locate precisely. The changeover from higher pressures on the opposite-blockage wall to higher pressures on the blockage wall occurs at x/D = 1.5.The internal structure of the precipitates changes as a transformation from coherency to incoherency occurs. As a result, switching from one type of drill to another is time consuming. The switch from centrifugal to axial compression at 1350-1800 t/d yields a very small cost improvement.Conversion from one fuel to another is accomplished quickly and conveniently. на-- Changeover from the failed to the back-up devices shall be bumpless.

line interactive UPS
A system, which energizes the load from the utility mains providing conditioned power by filtering and stabilizing mains voltage (VI class per IEC 62040-3).
Upon mains outage the load is energized from batteries via the Inverter.

Is it important that UPS include a Voltage Regulator?
Definitively. When the AC Line voltage is not suitable for your PC the UPS uses internal batteries to supply appropriate power to your PC. If the UPS does not include a Voltage Regulator this range is rather narrow but when UPS includes Voltage Regulator this range can be quite wide because most of the variations can be managed by the stabilization system and consequently the use of the batteries is less frequent. Evidently the less the UPS uses the batteries the longer life they will have.
Batteries Life Expectancy in an UPS including Voltage Regulator (Called Interactive UPS or In-Line UPS) is about 3 years, while batteries in an UPS not including Voltage Regulator (Off Line UPS) usually do not last longer than a year. Nevertheless end users rarely realize their batteries are loosing properties since the back up time can only be measured during actual blackouts and then it could be too late.
